T4L Computer Equipment Rollout
T4L CER is a key initiative of the NSW Department of Education. The objective is to ensure NSW school students maintain access to technology that effectively supports teaching and learning.
T4L CER provides schools with access to a selection of new supported equipment and delivers new devices to schools to replace older computer equipment and maintain the DoE standard operating environment.
The project operates over a 4 year cycle and uses an established model to calculate an equitable allocation across all eligible sites. Enrolment data is used to calculate the unit allocations with schools receiving an allocation annually or biannually depending on the school size.
Device catalogue
The device catalogue includes all equipment available for ordering under the T4L CER and is available now for viewing! The catalogue includes resources to assist with planning and decision making.
Ordering Apple devices – please read prior to ordering
If schools wish to order Apple devices, the Apple School Manager Organisation ID will need to be located as a first step.
How do I find the ASM Organisation ID?
- Login to your Apple School Manager account using your school’s login credentials.
- Select Preferences
- Select Enrolment Information.
- View your Organisation ID under Organisation Info section
What do I do if the Organisation ID: section is blank?
If this section appears blank, it means you do not have an ASM Org ID and you will need to start the process of creating one.
Please call EDConnect on 1300 32 32 32 and select “option 5 for IT”.
Here is an example of what you can say:
“Hello, I am trying to place my T4L Computer Equipment Rollout order for 2023-24, and I don’t have an ASM Org ID. Can you please help me to start the process of creating one?”
EDConnect will provide you with an incident number. The incident number generated by EDConnect will need to be provided in the ‘Incident Number’ field on the Ordering Form. This will enable you to go ahead and place your order for Apple devices.

Confirming device deliveries
How to confirm delivered devices
With each delivery that your school receives of T4L Rollout devices:
- Access your school’s T4L order form and head to Delivery Confirmation.
- Select "current delivery status of your order" (this can be found by scrolling down a little).
- The expected serial numbers of all delivered devices is displayed. Please confirm each listed serial number received by ticking the box adjacent to it.
- Accessories are represented as the total quantity ordered and can be confirmed once all have been delivered. Note: there are no serial numbers for the accessories, and they will not appear in the equipment spreadsheet.
- Ensure the delivery note matches the quantity of devices/accessories delivered. Any issues are reported in the next step.
- For any delivery issues, such as damage on delivery, or “dead on arrival”, or non-matching serial number received, do NOT tick the box. Instead, on the right-hand side of the device listing, choose "report an issue" (shown with a red flag). Provide as much information as possible before completing this action. You will also need to log on online EDConnect ticket, selecting "hardware equipment fault" and advising of a problem with your T4L Rollout delivery, with details.
Once the delivery is received, at the bottom of the delivery confirmation page, select "generate SAP spreadsheet". All delivered device data will be attached to an email that will be automatically sent to you. The email has the subject: ‘23-24 T4L equipment spreadsheet’.
Further instructions for uploading this data into SAP will be included in the equipment spreadsheet email.
Why this process is important?
Updating the status of your order will enable the T4L team to:
- ensure all devices and accessories have been delivered to the right schools, and in the correct quantity
- follow up on any missing and/or damaged devices and accessories on your behalf, and
- provide the full asset data file for your school's SAP Equipment Register.
